Erin Garden Club and Horticultural Society


This year we are again holding four mini flower shows at regular meetings in April, May, June and September.

Please Read RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR FLOWER SHOWS Carefully!

1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons will be awarded in each class.

Entries will be accepted from 7:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.

Mini FLOWER SHOW #1

Wednesday, April 27th, 2022

CULTURAL DIVISION
Foliage to be left natural unless otherwise indicated.

Class 1 Bulbs, small, flowering, 3 stems, named
Class 2 Grape Hyacinth, 3 stems
Class 3 Daffodils, (a)mini, 3 stems, (b)single, 3 stems, (c)double, 3 stems
Class 4 Hellebore, 1 stem, any colour
Class 5 Flowering Houseplant, named

DESIGN DIVISION

Class 6 Pround to Call Erin Garden Club 100 - design featuring green foliage/flowers
Class 7 Blast from the Past - design in an old container
Class 8 Erin's Pot of Gold - design using yellow flowers

Novice DESIGN DIVISION
(up to and including third year)

Class 9 Eggstrordinary - miniature design in an egg cup, no more than 5" or 12.5cm.

DESIGN DIVISION

Class 6 Rainy Day Blues - monochromatic blooms, one hue, tints, tones and shades.
Class 7 Centennial Celebration - all round tulip design.
Class 8 Branching Out - design using flowering branches in a basket.

NOVICE DIVISION
(up to and including third year)

Class 9 Victorian Tea - design in a teacup, no more than 5.5"-10" or 14-25cm in any direction.

Class 6 Edible Flowers - your interpretation using edible flowers and/or vegetables.
Class 7 Preserved - design, using a mason jar.
Class 8 Quilt Block - square design, using succulents, not to exceed 12".
Class 9 Celebration of Colour - your interpretation for our Garden Club's 100th Anniversary.
